Rio High Excels At Youth Fair, Receive Honors
HEIFER DIVISION - Placing Grand Champion in the Heifer Division of the Starr County
Youth Fair was Raul Munoz. Placing Reserve Grand Champion was Encarnacion Saenz.

High School Open House Thursday
Rio Grande City High School,
in observance of Texas Public
School Week, will host an Open
House on Thursday, March (i, at
7:.10 p.m. in the Multiple-
purpose Center, so stated
Ruben Saenz, Principal. The
public is invited to visit the
school anytime during this
week, and specially on Open
House Night
Principal Saenz stated that
the various school departments
will display student work. He
further stated tnat an exceueni
program has been planned
featuring students participating
in varied activities; i.e.,
delivering recitations, per-
forming musical selections,
explaining projects, discussing
current issues, doing gym-
nastics, etc
An important highlight of the
evening will be the presentation
and explanation of the plans for
the new high school.
Saenz emphasized that
parents will have plenty of time
to visit with their youngsters'
teachers and to view the man>
exhibits
