is a modern, sanitary factory
in every sense of the word,
and soft drinks manufactured
and bottled here, are not only
in big demand here at home,
but in all the surrounding
towns and territory.
Whenever and wherever you see
our label on the bottle you see a
a bonafide guarantee of purity and
highest quality.
"What has become of our high-
way?" asks the Schulenburg
Sticker in a long article printed
on the first page of the Christ-
mas edition. That is the ques-
tion lots of folks are asking these
days. "What has become of Fay-
ette County's part of the
Houston-San Antonio highway?"
is asked and the echo rolls back,
"What?"
Lack of money does not re-
tard the building of the road.
The bonds were voted almost four
years ago and an additional issue
has been voted since that time.
The usual aid has been granted.
Some contracts has been let and
seyen miles of road have been
built. Other contracts have not
been let and work is at a stand-
still. Some of the road between
Schulenburg and the Colorado
County line is in terrible condi-
tion. The other counties along
the proposed highway are all
working, some of them slowly to
be sure, and although some of
them have not voted bonds they
will have their road completed
first unless Fayette county gets
a move on.
Fayette county has built seven
miles while Colorado was build-
ing forty miles under no more
favorable conditions. Why?
Fayette county folks needs
that road and the people who
wish to travel the highway need
it. Who can tell why it isn't buiLt?

Holiday Feast At
Chester Grobe's
On Tuesday, Dec. 27th, the
families of Messrs. Albert and
Chester Grobe gave a family re-
union feast at the residence of
the latter named gentleman. A
large crowd attended same, there
was an abundance of everything
imaginable in the way of eatables,
and the occasion proved one of
the most happy, joyous events in
the history of the family. There
were sixty-two persons present
at the feast. Those from a dis-
tance were Mr. Hightower and
wife from Odem and David Wil-
son and wife of Edna, besides
many from Schulenburg, Oak-
land and surrounding communi-
ties.—Weimar Mercury.
Mrs. Chester Grobe is a
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred
Voitle, who reside a short dis-
tance South of this city.

ALL WRONG
The Mistake 3s Made by Many
Schulenburg Citizens.
Look for the cause of back-
ache.
To be cured you must know
the. cause.
If it's weak kidneys you must
set the kidtieys working right.
A Schulenburg resident tells
you how.
Mrs. E. R. Willenberg. Schu-
lenburg, says: "I suffered with
backache and kidney trouble.
My back pained me constantly
day and night, causing me con-
siderable suffering. It gave me
no rest and I felt weak and run
down; I was always tired and
worn out. My kidneys acted ir-
regularly and when I learned of
Doan's Kidney Pills being a re-
liable remedy I commenced using
them. Two boxes entirely cured
me of all symptoms of the trou-
ble and I haven't been bothered
since, sol gladly endorse Doan's.

The readers of this paper will be
pleased to learn that there is at least
one dreaded disease that science has
been able to cure in all its stages and
that is catarrh. Catarrh being greatly
influenced by constitutional conditions
requires constitutional treatment. Hall's
Catarrh Medicine is taken internally and
acts thru the Blood on the Mucous Sur-
faces of the System thereby destroying
the foundation of the disease, giving the
patient strength by building up the con-
stitution and assisting nature in doing its
work. The proprietors have so much
faith in the curative power of Hall's
Catarrh Medicine that they offer One
Hundred Dollars for any case that it fails
to cure. Send for list of testimonials.
