Attorney Journey—on a salary,
to run the town.
The Texas Journalist, pub-
lished at Austin, reaches this
office again much improved in
mechanical appearance.
A lot of tax dodgers in Gon-
county are being brought
fo time by legal proceedings.
But tax dodgers, like |eas and
bed-bugs, are to be found every-
where.
Our little 15-cent public school
tax voted last summer is working
wonders and is not proving to
be a burden to any oae. Two
years ago this office chipped in a
donation of $10 to the school
fund while this year our tax for
that purpose was not noticed.
Always something to worry
-bout. The state of Texas spent
thousands of dollars in getting
up a lot of rar records to be de-
vou red by the rats in a basement
room in the state house at Aus-
tin! Bat for this fact everybody
in Texas' could have returned
shel of thanks yesterday.
Next to the last official act of
resman-Elect Mansfield as
w jnty judge of Colorado county,
' was to sign a call for a $100,000
__jd election over there. The
Judge has always been a great
vorker for better roads and it
hoped thagb his many friends
Colorado county will vote the
ids by an overwhelming ma-
ity. _=_=__=

Last week the Columbus Citri-

"E. B. Mayes, our riewly elected

Here's a Schulenburg fact.
You oan test it.
Max Steinraann, prop, of confec-
tionery, Schulenburg, says: "1
had kidney complaint awfully and
suffered from dull pains and sore ;
ness across my kidneys. I couldn't
rest nights and in the morning was |
lame and stiff. Frequent head- j
aches and dizzy spells made my!
condition worse. 1 read of Doan's |
Kidney Pills and got some at j
Gernosek's Drug Store. They
strengtherned my back, relieved
the other pains and benefitted me
in every way."
Price 50c at all dealers. Don't
simply ask for a kidney remedy—

that Mr. Stienmann had. Foster-

P. A. puts new joy
into the sport of
smoking!
YOU may live to
be 110 and never
feel old enough to
vote, but it's cer-
tain-sure you'll not
know the joy and
contentment of a
friendly old jimmy
pipe or a hand rolled
cigarette untess you get on talking-terms
with Prince Albert tobacco!
P. A. comes to you with a real reason for all the
goodness and satisfaction it offers. It is made by
a patented process that removes bite and parch /
You can smoke it long and hard without a come-
back ! Prince Albert has always been sold without
coupons or premiums. We prefer to give quality!
Prince Albert affords the keenest pipe and cigarette
enjoyment! And that flavor and fragrance and
coolness is as good as that sounds. P. A. just
answers the universal demand for tobacco
without bite, parch or kick-back!
Introduction to Prince Albert isn't any harder
than to walk into the nearest place that sells
tobacco and ask for "a supply of P. A." You pay
out a little change, to be sure, but it's the cheer-
fullest investment you ever made!

The Cause of a Cough
A cough is caused by an irritation or infia=
roation of the air passages. With the first
warning cough, treatment should be com-
menced so as to avoid the more stubborn
stages which usually result from a neglected
cough.
The Treatment
To successfully combat a bough, use Nyals
Pine Balsam. It stops the cough in a very
short time by removing the infiamatibn that
caused it.
Keep this Remedy on hand
for immediate use.
