Samuel Charles Littlepage was born 23 Mar 1861 in Travis County, Texas. Samuel died
1 May 1937 in Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas, and was buried in Goldthwaite, Mills,
Texas. Virginia Roberta Gardner was born 22 Nov 1862 in Weberville, Travis, Texas. She
was called Jennie and was the daughter of Pleasant S. Gardner and Sallie Noel Ferguson,
whose family Bible entries are the last in this transcription. Certificate of Marriage in the
Bible is: This Certifies That Mr. S. C. Littlepage and Miss Jennie Gardner were united
by me in Holy Matrimony at the Bride's Residence on the 20th day of December in the
year of our Lord 1883. Signed W. M. Chapman. Samuel and Jennie were married in Travis
County, Texas. Virginia died 29 Jul 1944 in Dublin, Erath, Texas, and was buried 31 Jul
1944 in Goldthwaite, Mills, Texas.

Mrs. S.C. Littlepage Dies After Two Weeks Illness -- Mrs. S. C. Littlepage, mother of Noell
Littlepage of this city, died at her home in northwest Dublin last Saturday evening, July 29th, after a
two weeks' illness. Funeral services were held at the Higginbotham-Harrell Funeral Home Monday
afternoon at two o'clock with Rev. Arthur Johnson, pastor of the Dublin Baptist Church, in charge,
assisted by Rev. O. O. Odom, pastor of the Methodist Church. The body was taken to Goldthwaite
for burial in the family plot immediately following the funeral service. Virginia Gardner Littlepage
was born in Weberville, Travis County, Texas, on November 22, 1862, and died in Dublin on July
29, 1944, being eighty-one years, eight months and seven days of age at the time of her passing. On
December 20, 1883, she was united in marriage to S. C. Littlepage in Weberville, Texas. To this
union were born nine children, one of whom died in infancy. Mr. Littlepage preceded her in death in
1937. Mrs. Littlepage had made her home in Mills, Lampasas and Burnett Counties except for the
past eighteen years, when she had lived in Dublin. She was converted and joined the Baptist Church
the year before she was married and had lived a consecrated Christian life. Surviving are her
children: Noell Littlepage, Dublin; L. A. Littlepage, Columbus, Montana; R V. Goldthwaite, Texas;
Mrs. G. L. Wren, Fort Worth; J. A. Littlepage, Fort Worth; Mrs. George Kemper, Pearsall; Elmo
Littlepage, Llano; Elma Littlepage, Columbia, South America; twelve grandchildren and ten great
grand children. Pall bearers were her sons, a son-in-law and one nephew. Out-of-town relatives and
friends here for the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. G. L. Wren, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Littlepage, Mrs.
Doris Tannehill, Mrs. Bussey, Fort Worth; Mr. and Mrs. R V. Littlepage, Mrs. Eula Nichols, Rev.
D. A. Bryant, Goldthwaite; Mrs. Mastan Pribble and son, Amarillo; Mrs. Elma Littlepage, Utica,
New York; Mrs. George Kemper, Mrs. Clinton Meek, Pearsall; Bernice Littlepage, Corpus Christi;
Charles Littlepage, Baytown; Earl Littlepage, Silsbee; Mr. and Mrs. Don McCormick and daughter,
San Angelo; Mrs. J. E. Tisdale, Eldorado; Mr. and Mrs. John Edlin, Mrs. Edda Magee, Brownwood;DGS Journal 24 1996
