it is only 284,380, an increase of
less than 10,000. The total vote
of Chicago in 1888 was in round
numbers 100,000. I u 1892 it is
210,000, an increase of 80,000. In
1888 the democratic majority in
New York was 50,000. it 1892 it
is 70,000, an increase of only 20,000.
In 188S the democratic majority
in Chicago was less than 0,000.
In 1802 it is 30,000, an increase of
30,000. This is marvelous in Chi-
cago, considering the fact that
New York is nearly four times as
old as her western rival.
