Ten trophies and one hundred
and twenty certificates were
awarded to the top performers
in each Baker School grade in a
Rope Jumping Tournament
conducted last week by Physical
Education Director Rodney
Laubhan.
Nearly all of the 439 children
enrolled in the first five grades
(not including kindergarten)
took part in the competitions.
Trophies went to the top boy
and girl winners in each of the
five grades, and certificates
were awarded to the top three
boys and top three girls (top
four in the Fourth grade where
there are only three home-
rooms) in each of the nineteen
home rooms.
Each student had two go-
rounds of ten seconds each, and
prizes were awarded for the best
score (most jumps) in a ten
second period.
Trophy winners and their top
scores were First Graders Sam
Krehbiel (33) and Keri North-
