dian. Washita and Gageby rivers, also
Persimmon, Clear, Horse, Big Timber.
Big and Little Elk, Boggy, Spring, Big
Blue and many smaller creeks
Springs of never failing watei abound
all over the county, and good clear,
cold, soft water can be obtained any-
where in the county at a depth of from
JO to 100 feet. The well water is al-
ways good wherever found.

the United States Senate by the legis-

The public lands in the Panhandle of
Texas are owned by the state of Texas
and have been classified as pasture, ag-
ricultural, and timber lands. These
may be settled upon and purchased at

grazing or pasture lands. County
