HOME.
Home; the dearest word in all the
world. The center of ail that li? most
precious In our lives. 4
Men may live in fine houses or hum-
ble cottages, but If happiness la ban-
ished from thfci- hearthstones by con-
tentions, discords., and Unkindness,
their dwelling place is not, really a
home. Home is Where love and confi-
dence reign supreme. Guard it as you
would a priceless - treasure.—Ex-
change. ■
The above is- certainly true and
there is a wholesome lepson In It tor
all. I¡net us take It to Ourselves as a
community. The average person, no
matter what his position in life may
be, has a desire" to Improve and ele-
vate his home. This ambition Is a
commendable one, and the good citi-
zen should entertain the same feel-
ings for his home town. We are satis-
fied that our readers belong to thia
class, and sincerely trust they will
all do all In their power to Improve
the conditions of our city. We would
not have any think we are complain-
ing of oúr present condition, but as
perfection does not exist ay where, U
follows that there Is room for im-
provement everywhere..
Orange can boast of many beauti-
ful homes and flower gardens, but we
wonld like to see every yard in the city
filled with flowers. It does not cost
a great deal, and the returns are well
worth the money and labor expended
and the Impression on the stranger
Within our gates, is alone worth the ef-
fort. Let ta do «11 in our power to
