Orange Couple Were Marfied Yester-
day Forenoon.
M. J. McCann and Miss Bertha Pa-
char of Orange were united in mar-
ridge in this city this forenoon, the
wedding being a very quiet affair with
only a few frientls present. The
young people are well known in this
city, having a nümbéj- of friends, all
of whom Wish them much happiness

Good Money in Irish Potatoes
The rich sandy soil of Orange will
make good money in Irish potatoes.
The Leader had occasion yesterday
to refer to Capt. Pavell's fine success
with potatoes, and today, has another
sample of the popular spud, which
yshows what can be done in potato
growing. Mr. J. A. McCrory, a car-
penter living in the edge of the city,
planted a small patch 25x30 feet from
ordinary eating potatoes, and besides
a somewhat liberal use for his own
table, has sold five bushels at $1.40
(wholesale price) and has several
bushels yet on hand. It is safe to
estimate the yield of the patch at
eight bushels. Now, at the wholesale
price of $1.40, the eight bushels would
bring Mr. McCrory $10.40. if he
should care to see them all. As the
patch of ground 25x30 féet Is a little
less than one 56,th part of an acre,
we find the yield vof this small patch
Has been at the rate of $482.40 per
acre. An acre or so in spuds proves
a good adjunct to the bench for rainy
days:
Four hundred dollars per acre in
sixty days, and the ground in good
fix for another five hundred dollars
per acre if planted in cabbage or
beans—is a mere suggestion of what
can be dóne in truck with Orange soil
and climate;

the said Mofgan and S. J. Wilson.
That the defendants own jointly, an

above described land and premises,
and the plaintiff owns an undivided

Plaintiff having made affidavit that
defendants are non-residents of Tex-
