from Dallas, where be has been in

Lieut. Cates Ford, the swift drum-
mer for the Bwlffc Packing House, is In
the oity today. Catas says he will se-
cure a layoff next Saturday and come
to Orange and remain with his oom-l
pany, the Orange Rifles, until after the
State Encampment. He says the boys
expect to drill every night next week
and on Monday, August 17, will spend
the entire day in hard drilling, leaving
for Austin the same night.

R. Finley, foreman of the mechanical
department of the Dallas Times-Her-
ald, spent the day in Orange on busi-
ness and paid a pleasant visit to some
old friends on the Tribune.
