Pine Bluff Ark Sept 4th 1863

My Dear Wife,
Mr J.H. Hodges of the
Squadron has been detailed to go home
for the clothes of his company (?).
You will now have a chance to send
what you have prepared for me.
He will start tomorrow & will get home
(Georgetown) about the 20th of this month
& I suppose will be there till about the
15th Oct. If he carries the clothes for
his company himself he will start from
Georgetown in which case you will have
to send mine there to him to E W Talbot
(?) at Georgetown Texas, but if he finds
as we are told that a govt agent will
start a train from Austin to carry clothes
to soldiers he will send his that way
in which case he promosed to address
you so that the trouble in sending to
Georgetown will be avoided. - I will
ask him to write you at any rate as
soon as he determines which way he

You had better send Al a coarse
quilt or comfort as he is about out of
bed clothes.
