Mr. Louis Albreeht. Sr., of the Co-
letto marketed live bales of cotton on
Tuesday. Last week ho brought in thir-
ty-fivo bales by rail. There is consid-
erable cotton in the .country represent-
ing several thousand dollars. Tills
shows the well-to-do circumstance* of
our farmers, they being able to hold
their cotton an indefinite time, or till
the market suits them.
The editor of the Advocate witnessed
Dr. Fanning-s elUciency iu Waco two
years since. He will mention one case.
A iady was bed-ridden for fifteen years.
In a few weeks she was riding all over
the city in a carriage. Her husband is
one of the principal clerks iu Sanger's
dry goods house. Of this and other
cases we can and do «peak by the card.
We regard the doctor as tlie possessor
of a wonderful, and to us, mysterious
rnaguetic power. It would be well to
consult him while lie remains iu tho city.
President L. D. denton of tho street
railway has placed the name of all

pioneer hackmaii of Victoria, and has
transferred the United States mail to

and never failed in a single instance,

Dr. Fanning has healed thousands

It is rumored ¡hat there will be a

Consult the great magnetic healer,
Dr. Fanning, at the Muti Hotel. He
will be here on the I5th and remain two
weeks.
Now Hint Victoria has grown to be a
city oí importance, and continues to
grow tvltli a bright future, would It not
be well U? post on the street corners the
names of the streets and number the
buildings? This would correspond with
other recent Improvements, and add to
the nppearar.ee of the city and conveni-
ence of the people, at a nominal expense.

Several bales of cotton came in during

The weesatclie trees in the Market
Square have been trimmed, which makes
an Improvement in the former total neg-

These trees will soon grow large enough
to make Very pretty shade. Now, if the
new administration will Icivo an eye to
the building of a market house. That is
whst lho market square was set aside
ami designed for originally. That is
what the people iu the city and country
surrounding it want, for their conven-
ience. No public improvement would
add so much to the appearance of the
eity, and bring a handsomer revenue to
liic treasury for the amount of invest-
ed. It is to he hoped the city council
will take the matter into serious consid-
eration, and Investigate its advantages
at an early day.
Dr, Fanning, the great magnetic heal-

tho young lady may recover her property,

There is a growing demand for a re-

brick should not exceed tlint of wood,
and as excellent brick havo been made

is strange that some enterprising per-

Master Isaac Wcrtheimer has joined
the Advocate corps, and will proceed
to acquire a knowledge of the art pre-
servative of till arts. This resolution
upon Ids part, is a commendable exam-
ple that should be followed by many

should learn some useful art that will
afford lilni honest and profitable em-

farmers do not market their cotton at
low prices, because they do u<fl have to.
