Louden & Co. justly claim the discovery
of this great remedy, and until the present
year noother Liniment was offered or Known

now, tlie unprecedented popularity of our
Cherokee Liniment has induced—the pecu-

imitations afloat, to palm off their worthless
articles upon the unsuspecting, without re-
gard to justice, or any known merit in the
nostrum offered.

Hewes' Nerve and Bone Liniment, and th
Indian Specific!
Rheumatism, conIK-ted cords, and mueles
permanently cured The practitioner of great-
est skill, if honest, generally shrinks in despair
at the prospect of governing and eradicating
these diseases. His remedies are generally
palliate, nnd the patient feels happy at any re-
relief from his torments. If his family doctor
I gives him any hope of a cure, it is at the end
of a long course of medicine that is to act up-
on the system, or at the expense of drawing
from the arm his life's bloo-l, until, if cured,
(which it is next to iinpessible tn be by these
means,^ he has not enough of life left " to lie
worth living for." How important, then, a
remedy to cheek and eradicate rheumatism and
gout.—to extend and strengthen shrivelly and
knotty cord-and muscles, till nature and health-
have again sway and control. Such you may
rely is Hewes' Nerve and Bone Liniment,
used externally, and Indian Vegiiable Specific,

Oswego, December 4tli, 1840.
"The great recommendation this medicine
lias over all others, is—
1st.—Its own Intrinic worth; that is, it will
do more than itprofes-ies to do than any medi-
cine I know of.
r'nd—Its effects in diseases are immediate
3rd—A very little wiil te whether it wil
Ip the disease or not. ,
4th—The manner of putting it up. If you
dan sell to a man a shilling bottle, you will
never fail to sell him a larger one. (at least, we
have never failed doing so.
We shall probably want three or four hun
cred dollars worth ue™t year. It ought to b

You can say to Comstock Si Co. that they ce
rely on what we have stated above in relat—
to this medicine^ They know us well enoiali

about these matters." Yours, &c.l>
