Brandy, was very difficult to obtain, and..the pur-

manufactured imitation. Of all descriptions of
dent spirits, Brandy, from its higUprice, luu beien
tbe one article that mixers and sollérs havO turned
their attention to, and millions of'gáltohs Of the so-
called F.rench Brandy have been scattered annually
through the land, and have boen the primary eaii o
or muracrs, suicides, crueltios and criinos, and have
sent thousands to an early grave, self-destroyers,
from dolirium tremens, mania-a-potu and horrors,
names unknown, uutil unprincipled men began to
make tuaddoning compounds and scll It as the pure
Fronch Brandy.
Tho virtues of pure French Brandy neod not be
sold by me. They are known throughout the
world as a medicine or mild stimulant. It is, as the
Faench nation poetically call it "Bau do la vie,"
the water of lifo. But this applies to it only when
pure and unadulterated. Manufactured with ihe
