The boasting " old-time Shuttle Machines of Singer

signally and badly beaten in every instance.
Although Wheeler St Wilson's Machines came
out some four years after Singer & Co.'s, yet so steadi
ly and rapidly have they superseded Singer St Co.'s,
and all others, that their sales for the last twelve
months have been more than 30,000, being double
Singer & Co.'s, and mere than Singer's and Grover St

American Aromatic Bitlvr Cordial
and
TONIC AROMATIC BITTERS.
A G/rJial fur J.aJies, Aged Persons, d-c.
Of these two varieties cf Bitters, the first is to be
taken mixed with any agreeable fluid, while the second
may be taVen pure, or both may be mingled together,
forming a bitter of great or less intensity, so as to pleae
every taste. The aroma and delicious flavor these bit
ters possess have induced the finest judges to pro-
nounce them superior to any hitherto manufactured.
They are particularly efficacious in restoring health,
and establishing impaired digestion, thatfruitful source
of diseases, such as Dyspepsia, Nervous and Liver Af-
fections, General Weakness, Slc., all of which render
life a burden. In any fever followed by protracted
convalescencc, and consequent weakness, no remedy is
better adapted to restore strength and hasteu the com
plete ieturn of health.
JIj3 N. B. The American Bitters may likewise be
taken pure. They do not contain much spirits. The
strong flavor they possess arises from the aroma, the
predominance ef a bitter principle, both of which are,
however, highly agreeable. Said bitters have been in-
troduced into general use in the principal coffeehouses,
