After the council meeting ad-
journed the T.ll.D.A. chairman
called the meeting back to order
for the nomination of the delegates
to the District T. II. I). A. me-t-
iIIUT. The delegates elected Wi re
Mrs. Ilejtmancik. Mrs. Alvie Milli-
gun, and Mrs. Allen Khodes, The
alternates were Mrs. Novosad, M'^s
Storm, and Miss Annie Wcelwr.

Holds Meeting
Members of tin Hogg Home
Demonstration Club have not been
idle through the cold, rainy months
uf January and February. Along
with their usual house-hold duties
they have pieced and quilted seven
quilts, made two lovely candle wirk
bedspreads, two sheets, four pairs
of embroidered pillow cases, four
ladies' dresses, two ladies' slip<.
thirt"en child's dresses, five boys'
sp.irt shirts, and sixteen dish
towels.
A bathroom and bathtub have
been added to one home, additional
kitchen storage space in another.

Chriesman 4-H Club Elects Officers
At Meeting Held Thursday Morning
One new washing machine, four
corn poppers and one hot water
heater have been urchasod, and
one home has been made more
comfortable by the addition of
Venetian blinds, a writing desk,
draperies and a dressing table,
(¡aniens have been planted and
homes made more attractive by
flower and shrub planting*.
As the weather gets warmer, we
an- looking forward to an even
busier season ahead.—Reported.
Union 4-H Club Has
Meeting March 4
The Union 4-H Club held tin ir
meeting Friday, March 4, at which
time seven members responded to
roll call. After the busine ses-
sion, Mrs. Mrnustik, the sponsor,
gave a talk on gardening which in-
duded the best type of soil in
which to plant seed; the kind <>f
seed to plant; how to plant them
and how to care for the plants. The
«iris planted three types of seed:
cabbage, radishes arid lettuce in a
hot bed. Reported.

"Red hair and red material do
not go well together," the Chries-
man 4-H Club learned at their
first meeting Thursday morning,
February 24, when they held their
session at 10 o'clock at the Chries-
man school, with Mrs. Mary Cleve-
land, County Home Demonstrator.
In the demonstration it was
pointed out that red materials or
any bright colors go well with
brunettes while pastels arc best
suited to blondes.
In order to master the art of
sewing, good equipment is essen-
tial. Kac'h member was instructed
to bring a well-equipped sewing
box to the next meeting at which
time the older members will make
simple blouses, while the younger
group will hem cup towels.
A few gardening hints, including
directions for making a small hot
bed, were given.
The following officers were elect-
ed: president, Mary I.ida Boodeker;
vice-president and reporter, Linda
Ruth Kornegay; secretary-treasur-
er, D-Klva Diver; recreation lead-
er, Corrie .lean Jackson; clothing
demonstrator, Mary hida Boedek-
er; gardening demonstrator, John-
nie Marie Whited; sponsor. Mrs.
Frank Maresh. In addition to the
girls mentioned above, Mary F.ve-
lyii Ryiui; Joan Ryan, Patsy Ryan,
Julie Kd Ryan, Nancy Huffman
and Doris Boedeker became mem-
bers of the club. Reported.
