In the home of Mrs. J. K Phegloy
at our first cluti meeting of the
new year in which nine members
were present, and one visitors,
Mrs. W. B. Terry, of Caldwell.
The meeting opened with roil
call which each member answered
with a household hint.
The minutes were then read by
our secretary, Mrs. Claude Mc-
Karland, after which Mrs. Cleve-
land gave the report of the last
council.
Miss tioldie Storm gave out song
books which the council is selling.
Mrs. Phegley tendered her resig-
nation as preside!.t of our club as
she was elected secretary of the
council. Mrs. F. W. Jannett made
the motion that Mrs. Phegley's
resignation be accepted. The mo-
tion carried.
Mrs. W. E. Thorpe was then
nominated by Mrs. Hood for pres-
ident. She was unanimously elect-
ed.
Refreshments were served to the
following: Mesdames A. M. Hood,
F. W. Jannett. J. C. Ferrell, ('. P.
McFarland, Lee Williams, W. T.
Terry, W. B. Terry. Mary E.
Cleveland, J. E. Phegley and Miss
Goldie Storm.
The next meeting will be with
Mrs. A. M. Hood.—By reporter.
