These diseases not only take a
great toll from the education of
children, but often leave them

After the business, the interest-
ing program was a summary of
a recent evaluation of our sehool.
Messrs. Hare, Darby, and Terry,
representing three phases of school
work, participated in this summary
After adjournment. refresh-
ments were served in the parlor of
tin gymnasium.

A very enjoyable evening was
spent by the Young People's Clus
of the New Tabor Sunday School
when Mis. Joe H. Siptak, teacher,
entertained the class with a "back
to -chool" party recently.

morning exercises in the school
room. The school theme was ear-
ned out i>y pasi-ing out pencil
and especially prepared booklets
containing games and contests iv-
i mbling spelling, language, art.
i, ading, and arithmetic lessons and

a picture of a big red apple.
< lasses were held in the respect-
ive subjects and prizes were award-
«d to the best grade made. During
recess a number of games weie
played out-of-doors.
Several special numbers were
given by the class to entertain the
board ,f trustees who were visi'-
intr tie school that day. The trus-
tie- were the sponsors of the
Young Peoples circle who were
present at the party. They also
served as judge- for the contests
held.
1.illicit was served school cafe-
teria style to the following: Misses
(¡lady's Masar (who entered Cald-
well High as a Junior this year),
Doris Mae Odstrcil, Lillie and
Dorothy Rravenec, Evelyn Mrnus-
lie, Gladys Faust, and Joyce Lu-
< ill, Siptak (who entered Sam
Houston State Teacher* College at
Huntsvillp). Messrs. Jerry Dusck
and Johnny Stefka (both enter-
ing A&M College as freshmen),
James and Melvin Skrabanek and
Stanley Mrnustik (all resuming
their studies at State University
at Austin), Glenn Faust and Dan-
iel Dusck (both entered Caldwell
High this year), Albert Surovik,
Johnny Masar, Theodore Dusek
Milton Polansky, J, H. Siptak (now
a sophomore at Caldwell flight,
and Johnny Haletka of Ocker,
Texas, (entering the Moravian
Theological Seminary in Bethle-
hem. Penn., this fall).
Sponsors of the group who were
