< ¡jo. C. Hardy, pastor
R. S. Bowers, superintendent
C. H. Moore, chairman of board
Our sympathy is extended to the
Bowers family in the loss of th. ii
loved one.
A very high percentage of our
stewards turned out for the first
regular monthly meeting on Mon-
day night of this week. Those pre-
sent were C. H. Moore, chairman,
F. H. Hitchcock, secretary, E. S.
Dushek, treasurer, R. Hays Bow-
ers, J. W. Ripple, J. L. Giddings,
H. P. Woodson, E. N. Rutherford.
J. M. Hare, W. C. Mills, Holland
Porter and Cecil Smith, and Rev.
George C. Hardy. We regret that
J. H. Porter and B. I. Addison
found it impossibl? to be there.
Our people were delighted with
our new Presiding Elder Rev. C.
W. Lokey. He gave us u great mes-
sage Sunday morning. He told the
pastor privately that he was high-
ly pleust-d with the response of our
people.
A number ot our people have
helped the pastor greatly by telling
him about people who ur sick. It
is one of the greatest services you
can render, to let the pastor and
others know about those who need
the sympathetic hand of th;' church.
Mr. R. S. Bowers, our superin-
tendent* told us that our attendance
last Sunday was the record for the
past year and a half. Let's repeat
it anil go still higher next Sunday.
We are delighted to have Mrs.
W. C. Mills play the violin for u
at our various servir s. She lias
kindly consented to do so regularly.
