Vegetable Pica
A vegetable pie is another vege- j
table dish that makes use of left-overs
To make it prepare a mixture of cook-
ed vegetables in a baking diah, aad
season them liberally with pepper
aad salt Over them pour some thick-
ened vegetable stock, of any kind.
Then cover with a rich crust aad bake
until the crust is brown.
The combinations for this pie are
legion. Too might try lima besots,
whole small eiuoas, green peas and i
diced turnips; or tomato, corn cut off
the cob, diced green pepper aad j
pimiento aad diced aew potatoes; or •
diced new potatoes, diced beets, sliced j
onions and asparagus tips. Or boiled
pareo radishes, greea peas, string
