All Her Doubt Is

Austin Woman Knows From Her

Not Pretentious
"I believe in giving everything it

what it ha done for me," «aid Mrs.
Prank Carlson, residing at 405 East
18th street, Austin, Texas, in a con-

AUSTIN, Texas, Aug. 21 (UP).-
There is no danger of Texas' gov-
ernor finding the "executive mansion"
too pretentious, as "Alfalfa Bill"
Murray complains of Oklahoma's.
Each of the three candidates for
governor of Texas lives in a finer
house than the state will provide for
its next governor.
R. S. Sterling, Houston millionaire,
has a palatial home, even though it
is admitted the campaign description
of its "twenty bathrooms" is over-
drawn.
Mrs. Miriam A. Ferguson, if she
returns to the "mansion" will move

political admirers at the end of her
former term as governor.
Should the Republicans win, Dr.
George Butte, their nominee, will
upset that I couldn't digest anything
and my food would invariably sour
and irive me trouble for hours after
eating. I had an awful hurting in
my side, especially after I would do
a little housework, and I was often
nervous which would not allow me to
get a good night's rest.
"A friend who had gotten relief
from a bud case of stomach trouble

Demand Poison For
Leaf Worm Scourge
BIG SPRING, Texas, Aug. 21 (UP)
—The recent rains are creating a de-
mand for calcium arsenate in Weat
Texas counties due to the appearance
of the leaf worm. A few farmers in
the Howard county area have. Iiegun
to poiaon, many others are rigging up
sprays and pumps with which to
fight this pest if it appears in damag-
ing numbers.
The Big Spring chamber of com-
merce is making an effort to purchase
poiaon for the farmers at the lowest
possible price. If the damage from
the worms is only slight Howard
county should produce 26,000 bales
of cotton, according to H. E. Reiss,
manager of the Big Spring Compress.
