Thirty Thousand ($30,000.00) Dollars or so much thereof as
may be necessary, to be used by the Attorney General of Texas
for the purpose of paying all necessary expenses incurred by
his Department in the investigation and enforcement of such
conservation laws as are now in force or shall hereafter be
enacted; and further, for the purpose of paying such costs in
the investigation of and prosecution of violations of the antitrust
laws of this State, including the employment of such
assistants as may be necessary, said assistants not to receive
more than Three Hundred and Fifty ($350.00) Dollars per
month. The monies paid out under the provisions of this appropriation
shall be on sworn accounts approved by the Attorney
General and paid in the manner provided by law.
SEC. 2. The fact that there has been no appropriation made
for the purpose of paying the necessary expenses to investigate
and prosecute cases involving violations of conservation and
anti-trust laws of this State, creates an emergency and an imperative
public necessity that the Constitutional Rule requiring
bills to be read on three several days in each House be suspended,
and said Rule is hereby suspended, and that this Act
shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage, and
it is so enacted.

PROVIDING FOR STATE BOARD OF EXAMINERS IN
OPTOMETRY.
S. B. No. 52.] CHAPTER 7.
An Act amending Article 4553 of Chapter 10 commonly known and designated
as the Optometry Bill, so as to provide for a State Board of
examiners in Optometry composed of six members and providing their
necessary qualifications, and amending Article 4554 of said Chapter
so as to provide the terms of office of said members of said Board
and to repeal all laws in conflict therewith and declaring an emergency.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Texas:
SECTION 1. That Article 4553, Chapter 10 of the Revised
Statutes relating to the subject of Optometry shall be amended
so as to hereafter read as follows:
"Article 4553 BOARD OF EXAMINERS.-The Texas State
Board of Examiners in Optometry shall be composed of six (6)
members who shall possess the necessary qualifications to practice
optometry and who shall have been residents of this State,
