residence bv Rev. A. N\ Pledger
asalated by Revs. W. 8. Lackey
at 4 o'clock and the remains
were intered inMaaonic earn
alary, the funeral and bu-
rial being attended by
large cortege of relatives and
friends of deceaaed. The flora
tributea were many and beauti-
fu', the grave being literally
banked with wreaths of various
deaigns. The immediate «anse
of the death was undoubtedly
heart failuiy Mr. Frsiin and
five or six communions were in
the Brazos river noar the Carson

coming back to this side of the
river, when he was seen to sud-
denly sink. He remained under
the water for only a few minutes
when be arose to the top. after

gone. Then* wax no water in
his lungs, showing that he did
not die of strangu ation. It ¡p

For the last two terms !io has
been city attorney of Caldwell
vhich oftloe he held at the time
)f his death, lie was a self made
man and had a keen insight in-
to human nature. Being natur-
ally a good judge of men and
affairs and having a genial dis
josition, he made friends wher-
ever he went, and in this county

gion. The instances of his gen.
erosifty and big heartadness am
almost innumerable and it in
doubted if any one ever went to .
him in need and went away
empty handed. He was neiths* •
selfish nor avaricious and tb ~
verdict of the people who knew
him best ia that an honeat, char,
itable big heaated man has gone
from our midat. On August 9U&.
1882 he waa married to Miss Ida.

Bertha Giles living near Vega;
Mrs, Grace Longtnoor of Pales-
tine; Clyde Fraim of Denver..

well. All were present nt the
funeral and burial except Clyda
a id Chinde and Mrs. Giles who
could not reach here in time on, ,
account of the distuncp. Ble
aged mether Mrs. John R. Fraim
Sr., and all of his brothers and
si iter < vere here. The entire •
community extends sympathy to
his family aud relatives in their,
bereavement.
The burial took place under tha
auspices of the Woodmenof the
World of which order deceased,
was a member.
