Rev. Welch will preach at the
Presbyterian church next Sun-
day Feb. 13, morning-and night,
all members of the Johnson
Chapel congregation are urged
to be present as it is planned to
elect and ordain some more dea-
cons for the congregation at the
morning service. At this time
opportunity will also be given to
anv who may desire 'to unite
with either branch of the Pres-
byterian church represented
either by letter or on confession.
If there are any Presbyterian
living in the community who
have not yet identified themsel-
ves with the church here^ im-
prove this opportunity; we need
your co-operation, you need the
inspiration and uplift that comes
from christian fellowship. The
public is cordially invited to at-
tend these services.
Eggs Shipped.
The first shipment of eggs to
leave Stonewall county was sent
out by T. P. Holt Wednesday
over the S. & N. W. to Abilene.
This lot consisted of 5 cases of
eggs amounting to 150 dozen.
This is only another evidence
thatjStonewall is fast becoming a
shipping point for various kinds

The ladies of the Christian
Church through the columns of
the Star desire to heartily thank
all those who assisted them with

the box dinner last Saturday.
The net proceeds amounted to
S37.40, which will be used toward
the buiding of the church. To
those who patronoized the dinner
and to the many ladies of the town
who ^contributed boxes, we are
indeed grateful. Your apprecia-
tion for our cause will long be re-
membered.
Result of Bond issue Election.
At time of going to press elev-
en out of thirteen voting boxes
have been returned; reports from
the two yet out indicates that the
Court house bond issue lost by
about 60 votes, and that the jai1
bond issue carried by about 26
votes. When the boxes are all
n and the official count is made
we will give the result by boxes.

Posey, S. S. McCord, W.C. Low-
ry and J. M. Forgus went over to
Jaoton Tuesday where they in-
stalled an Oddfellows lodge Tues-
day night with 14 members. 8 of
this number were newly initiat-
ed.
