Mr. and Mrs. L. B. Russell and
children. Bill, Toni, La Donna
and Danny, moved from Mes-
quite, to their farm, they recent-
ly bought from the A. C. Vessels,
who moved to Midlothian. Mrs.
Russell is a sister of Aubrey
Poarch.
Mr. and Mrs. O. J. Hays were
Friday guests of Mrs. Mattie
Hays, in Waxahachie.
Mrs. Edd Hargus observed her
birthday Friday June 10. Mr. and
Mrs. Joe Lee Hargus and son
Jame, Garland, Mr. and Mrs.
John Mulkey Jr. Pam and John
Edd, Red Oak, were Sunday din-
ner guests of their parents, Mr.
and Mrs. Edd Hargus. Mrs. Rosa
Mae Stovall, Waxahachie, was
also a guest.
Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Wood were
Sunday visitors of their son,
Mr. and Mrs. Raymon Wood and
children in Kaufman.
Mr. and Mrs. Jesse L. Guthrie
and his motner, Mrs. Letha
Guthrie, Dallas, were visitors of
Mrs. Max Manning.
Mr. and Mrs. E. W. Brintle of
Waxahachie were visitors of Mr.
and Mrs. Bertie Hallabough.
Mr. and Mrs. Dee Armstrong
of Monahans and his sister and
husband of Sweetwater were
visitors of Mrs. Armstrong’s
aunt, Mrs. N. Stacke and the
group were Friday visitors of
her aunts. Miss Ona Davis and
Miss Nettie Davis in the Renfro
Home, in Ferris. They spent 2
nights and stayed in their home,
known as the Elder home.
Mrs. Mable Robertson and Mrs.
Walter Williams were Monday
visitors of Mrs. Mattie Hays in
Waxahachie, sister of Mrs. Wil-
liams and is reported slightly im-
proved, having suffered a
stroke recently.
An unoccupied house, owned
by Jack Bartlett, near the Co-
op Gin, was destroyed by fire
of undetermined origin, early
Saturday morning.
The new gin being built by
Richie Bros. of Lubbock, is well
underway, on 6 acres north of
Bardwell, bought from W. D.
Bozek, known as the Lindsey
land.
Mr. and Mrs. Richard Kouba,
Grand Prairie, Mr. and Mrs.
Morris Caldwell, Ennis, visited
their mother, Mrs. A. L. Lewis.
Mrs. Bertie Hallabough and
daughters, Mrs. Irma Lee Gry-
der and Jerleia, Mrs. J. T. Austin
and Mark, shopped in Dallas,
Monday.
Rev. Ira Waddell and son,
Carl, of Muleshoe were Sunday
dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs.
Alvy Collins.
Mrs. Watson Rogers and son
Craig, of Corsicana, and her mo-

ents, Mr. and Mrs. W. M. Fors-
