One-half cup scalded milk.
«up maple sirup. 1 tablespoon
cranulated gelatin, t tablespoons
cold water. teaspoon vanilla,
few grains salt. 'a cup finely
chopped nuts. 1 cup whipping
eream. sponge cake or lady
fingers.
Heat milk in top of double boil-
er and slowly add maple sirup Let,
gelatin stand in cold water for 10
minutes and add to hot. milk. Slit-
over hot water until gelatin is
thoroughly dissolved. Remove at
OBCe from heat and place pan in
ice water. When mixture begins
to thicken add nuts, vanilla and
rait and fold in cream whipped
until firm. Line a mold with split
lady fingers or thin slices of
sponge cake I'our in gelatin mix-
ture. Chill before servinp
For a festive ««rasión, garnish
with whipped cr«' rn and halves of
