STOCK LAW AMENDED AS TO CULBERSON COUNTY.
S. B. No. 43.] CHAPTER 17.
An Act amending Article 6955, Revised Statutes of the State of Texas
1925 and declaring an emergency,
Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Texas:
SECTION 1. That Article 6955, Revised Statutes of the State
of Texas, be amended so as to hereafter read as follows:
Article 6955. Exceptions.-The provisions of the preceding
article shall not apply as a whole to Wharton County but
shall apply only to such subdivision thereof as may be designated
in the manner herein provided; provided, however, that
the provisions of this Act shall not apply to Jefferson County
as a whole, but shall apply only to such subdivision thereof as
may be designated in the manner herein provided; provided,
however, that the provisions of this Act shall not apply to
Hudspeth County as a whole, but shall apply only to such subdivisions
thereof as may be designated in the manner herein
provided; provided, however, that the provisions of the preceding
article shall not apply to Culberson County as a whole,
but shall apply only to such subdivisions thereof as may be
designated in the manner herein provided.
SEC. 2. The fact that Culberson County does not now have
the benefits of the Stock Law as applicable to its subdivisions
and that it is desirable to make the provisions of the Stock
Law applicable to any subdivision of Culberson County, desiring
to make said law effective therein, creates an emergency
and an imperative public necessity that the constitutional rule
requiring bills to be read on three several days in each House
be suspended and said rule is hereby suspended and that this
Act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage,
and it is so enacted.
Effective 20 days after adjournment.
