The scrapbook contains letters to 62 families of civilian internees and P.O.W.s, many of whom sent thank you letters in response to messages McKie transcribed from Radio Tokyo broadcasts made by prisoners of war primarily held at Santo Tomas Internment Camp, Manila, Philippines.
