SAM HOUSTON COLLEGE-EMERGENCY
APPROPRIATION.
S. B. No. 149.] CHAPTER 37.
An Act making an emergency appropriation of four thousand eight hundred
($4,800.00) dollars for finishing the remodeling and strengthening of what
is commonly known as the old Austin College building, the same being one
of the buildings of the Sam Houston State Teacher's College plant at
Huntsville, Texas, and declaring an emergency.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Texas:
SECTION 1. That there is hereby appropriated, out of any
funds in the State Treasury not otherwise appropriated, the
sum of four thousand eight hundred ($4,800.00) dollars, for the
purpose of finishing the remodeling and strengthening of what
is commonly known as the old Austin College Building, the
same being one of the buildings of the Sam Houston State
Teacher's College plant, at Huntsville, Texas.
SEC. 2. The fact that the appropriation heretofore made
for the above item is exhausted and said work on said building
is incomplete, and the further fact that the said school is in
great need of extra space that would be provided by said building
when complete, create an emergency and an imperative public
necessity that the constitutional rule requiring bills to be
read on three several days be suspended and the same is hereby
suspended and this Act shall take effect and be in force from
and after its passage, and it is so enacted.
