1. McMurry is definitely CHRISTIAN, holding that her chief func-
tion is the development of Christian character with sound schol-
arship-yet she is definitely tolerant with persons of other faiths.
2. McMurry is fully ACCREDITED with the Southern Association
of Colleges and Secondary Schools, the Association of Texas Col-
leges, and the Texas Education Agency.
3. McMurry offers OPPORTUNITIES for superior training in many
branches of the liberal arts leading to the Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor
of Science, Bachelor of Business Administration, and Master of Edu-
cation degrees. McMurry's School of Business Administration in-
cludes an Oil Institute which provides evening classes in five phases
of the petroleum industry. In addition, McMurry has an excellent
program of pre-professional training in medicine, law, dentistry,
journalism, engineering, scientific research, business, teaching and
the ministry.
4. McMurry College is rich in STUDENT ACTIVITIES with some
forty student organizations-singers, debaters, junior federated
women's clubs, dramatics, social clubs, band, athletics and a play
program for every student.
