No. 519 1 (3) another person listed in Subsection (b) of this 2 section. 3 (b) This section applies to a person who: 4 (1) is licensed or certified in this state to provide 5 mental health or medical services, including a: 6 (A) physician; 7 (B) psychiatrist; 8 (C) psychologist; 9 (D) licensed professional counselor; 10 (E) licensed marriage and family therapist; or 11 (F) certified social worker; and 12 (2) while licensed or certified, provides or provided 13 mental health or medical services for the rehabilitation of sex 14 offenders. 15 SECTION 6. Subsection (b), Section 614.017, Health and 16 Safety Code, is repealed. 17 SECTION 7. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives 18 a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as 19 provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this 20 Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this 21 Act takes effect September 1, 2003.
