6 SECTION 6. Section 603.051, Occupations Code, is amended to
7 read as follows:
8 Sec. 603.051. COMMITTEE [BOARF ] MEMBERSHIP. (a) The Texas
9 State Perfusionist Advisory Committee [Bear-d of Examinerv e of
10 Perfucionists] consists of five [nine] members appointed by the
11 commissioner [govrn. wit t n
12 as follows:
13 (1) two [f-ye] licensed perfusionist members who have
14 been licensed under this chapter for at least three years before the
15 date of appointment;
16 (2) one physician member licensed by the Texas State
17 Board of Medical Examiners who is certified by that board in
18 cardiovascular surgery; and
19 (3) two [4kree] members who represent the public.
20 (b) Appointments to the committee [ea-4l] shall reflect the
21 historical and cultural diversity of the inhabitants of this state.
22 (c) Appointments to the committee [e-a-4] shall be made
23 without regard to the race, color, disability [reeee], sex,
24 religion, age, or national origin[ or ]oaicl istribution]...
