1 WHEREAS, Beverly Pevehouse of Midland is being honored at the
2 annual scholarship fund-raising dinner of the Texas Tech Club of
3 Midland, and this special occasion offers a fitting opportunity to
4 commend her for her service to the community; and
5 WHEREAS, The president and chairman of the board of several
6 family-owned businesses, Mrs. Pevehouse is active with numerous
7 organizations and associations that benefit the citizens of
8 Midland; she serves on the advisory board grants committee of the
9 Permian Basin Area Foundation and as president of the Midland
10 College Foundation, and she is a member of the board of governors of
11 the Midland Memorial Foundation and the Museum of the Southwest; a
12 former director of the Stehlin Foundation for Cancer Research, she
13 is also the honorary chairperson of Texas' Largest Garage Sale, an
14 event that benefits Meals on Wheels; and
15 WHEREAS, Other organizations that benefit from this
16 remarkable woman's involvement include the chancellor's council of
17 Texas Tech University, the building committee of First United
18 Methodist Church, and the Alexis de Tocqueville Society of Midland,
19 which is an organization composed of generous supporters of the
20 United Way; and
21 WHEREAS, In all her endeavors, Mrs. Pevehouse enjoys the
22 support of her daughter, Melissa Ann Hoelscher, her son, Clay Alan
23 Pevehouse, and her four grandchildren, Evan Clay Pevehouse, Sara
24 Nicole Pevehouse, Katie Jo Pevehouse, and Laura Catherine
