After a reception in Fellow-
ship Hall of the church, the cou-
ple left for a honeymoon in Cor-
pus Christi, and will later live in
Waco where the bridegroom is an
employee of General Dynamics.
The bride is a graduate of Uni-
versity High School where she
was a member of Samarateens,
the Bowling Club, Future Home-
makers of America and the Glee
Club. The bridegroom, a graduate
of Richfield High School where
he belonged to the Bowling Club,
the bride of Donald Walker
Pinckney in a ceremony Satur-
day in the Kendrick Lane Bap-
tist Church,. Waco, with the Rev.
J. A. Haley officiating.
Parents of the couple are Mr.
and Mrs. Ben L. Horton and Mr.
and Mrs. Warren D. Pinckney, all
The bride is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Chesley James Riv-
]ar, Deette Short, Ester Dicker-
son, Spencer Spearman and Miss
Vana Bridgefarmer.
Mrs. Cullar presided and Mrs.
Gooch read the minutes. The
treasurer's report was given by
Miss Bridgefarmer. A “get well”
card was signed by the members
and sent to Mrs. Joe Allen, a pat-
ient in Collin Memorial Hospital.
During the social session, Mrs.
Sallie Dalton directed several
clever diversions. The hostess, as-
sisted by her daughter, Mrs. Wan-
da O’Roark, passed fruit punch,
cake and ice cream to the mem-
bers and two guests, Mrs. Sallie
Dalton and Mrs. John Houk.
The next meeting will be held
August 5 in the home of Mrs. O.
Kitchens, 602 N. Benge St.

Ricky Edward Tarwater exchang-
ed marriage vows in an afternoon
ceremony July 3 in the Oak Cliff
Christian Church. The Rev. Clau-
de E. Stinson officiated.
The couple will live in Dallas
after a honeymoon in Hot
Springs, Ark.
The bride is the daughter of
Dr. and Mrs. Gay Tilman Wood-
ard of Dallas. She attended
Hockaday Scnool, Stehens Col-
lege and Southern Methodist Uni-
versity where she belonged to Mu
Phi Epsilon sorority. Mr. and
Mrs. John E. Tarwater, Dallas,
are parents of the bridegroom,
who has attended East Texas
State University and belongs to
Kappa Alpha fraternity.
Mr. and Mrs. R. S. Parr of
Lucas are grandparents of the
bride.
The bride, who was given in
marriage by her father, wore a
white silk organza gown with an
Empire bodice and a slim skirt
embelished with Venice lace ap-
pliques and accented with beads
and sequins. The train was chap-
el length and the illusion veil was
caught to a pill box covered with
beads and sequins.
Miss Gaylan Sue Woodard ‘of
Topeka, Kan., and Mrs. Philip
Bradstock of Hayward, Calif., at-
tended their sister. John E. Tar-
warter of Dallas was best man.
The bridemaids wore gowns of
Suzanne Grissett,: Sandra Wal-
lace, Darlene Martin, Karen Kim-
ball, Helen Coleman and Dela
Lewis in the houseparty.
When the couple left on their
wedding trip to Acapulco, Mexi-
co Mrs. Bolin was wearing a pink
and white checked suit with pink
and white accessories. They will
reside in Plano at 2200 17th street.
The bride is a graduate of Hard-
in - Simmons University where
she was a member of Delta Soc-
ial Club, the A Capella Choir,
and cheerleader. Mr. Bolin attend-
ed the University of Texas and
Baylor University. He was a mem-
ber of Alpha Kappa Psi business
fraternity and Baylor Student

Mrs. Dickens
Held Saturday
Funeral services for Mrs. An-
nie Bell Dickens, Rt. 2, Frisco,
were held at 10:30 a. m. Saturday
in Turrentine-Jackson Chapel,
Rev. Bruce Wills of Frisco, offic-
iating. Interment was in Rowlett
Cemetery.
Mrs. Dickens died at Electra
where she was stricken ill while
enroute to her home from Ore-
gon.
She was born in Collin Coun-
ty, the daughter of Jeff Powell
and Margaret Cooley Powell and
was of Baptist faith.
She married J. T. Dickens in
1920. He survives with a son, Ray
Dickens of Frisco. Other survivors
are two grandsons, Ronnie and
Michael Dickens, one great-
granddaughter, three sisters, Mrs.
Dee Hawkins of Oregon; Mrs.
Raymond Calverly and Mrs. Er-
nest Harwell of Dallas.
