Notes

Text: “Dear Mrs. Herff. I enclose herewith the article by Mr. C. A. Herff on cannibal Indians and a copy of a letter from the archivist University of Texas explaining why the rest of the material you loaned me was not returned. I was in Austin last week and I am sure it will all be returned in an improved condition and the copies will be available for the use of students for many years. The picture of the hanging of Bub Augustine is still on exhibit in the archives and has stimulated interest in the author. Thanking you again for the loan of the interesting historical data. Faithfully, M. L. Crimmins. P.S. I enclose my article on the Wainwrights in Texas which I hope you will like.”
