put others before himself. Troy was such a caring, gentle, and thoughtful
person. He held a special place in his heart for animals. Oftentimes, Troy
could be seen alongside his favorite furry companion - his dog Jake.
He is survived by his loving wife, Kim Haba; mother, Billie "BB" Connor
and stepfather, David Connor of Carmine; father, Troy L. Bennett Sr. and
stepmother, Connie Bennett of Brenham; one brother, Bryan Bennett of

He was lovingly known as "Beau" by his fam-
ily. He was born in Dallas on Sept. 21,1962, the
son of Troy L. Bennett Sr. and Billie "BB" (Burch)
Bennett-Connor. He attended Tomball High
School and later enlisted in the Army in 1983 and

Troy was preceded in death by his grandparents, Oleta and Vernon Ben-
nett; stepfather, John Edwards; and three aunts, Genie Bynum, Jo Ann Al-
len and Lynda Tucker.
A visitation was held on Tuesday, Jan. 4,2022 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Koenig-
Belvill Funeral Home & Cremations in La Grange.
Funeral services were set for Wednesday, Jan. 5,2022 at 11 a.m. at Koe-
nig-BelvilI Funeral Home & Cremations in La Grange, with burial following
at the Carmine Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Chil-
dren's Research Hospital, Memorial Giving, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis,
TN 38105 or to a charity of one's choice.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Koenig - Belvill Funeral
Home & Cremations, 208 W. Pearl, La Grange. Family and friends can view

Aggie Show Supporters raise money to purchase
livestock projects at the Schulenburg Junior Livestock
Show (held Jan. 21-22, 2022), with a primary goal of
supporting those exhibitors who might not otherwise
have a buyer for their project in the audience. This
group is for anyone who wants to financially support our
FFA and 4-H youth, but is unable to purchase an entire
project on their own oris not interested informingtheir
own informal group of buyers.
