CREATING THE PALAVA INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT
IN FISHER COUNTY.
H. B. No. 428.] CHAPTER 148.
An Act to create the Palava Independent School District in Fisher County,
Texas, including therein the present Palava Independent School
District No. 43; providing a hoard of trustees therefor, vesting said
Palava Independent School District board of trustees with all the
rights, powers, privileges and duties conferred upon independent
school districts incorporated under the General Laws of Texas; providing
for the validation of all current contracts of the present Palava
Independent School District No. 43, as the subsisting obligations and
Acts of the Palava Independent School District as created by this Act;
providing for an election to determine as to the assumption of outstanding
bonded indebtedness of territory hereby incorporated, as
herein set out; and declaring an emergency.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Texas:
SECTION 1. That the Palava Independent School District is
hereby created and established in Fisher County, Texas, including
therein the territory of the present Palava Independent District
No. 43, with metes and bounds as follows:
Beginning at a point in the S. B. line of Fisher County where
the W. B. line of Eskota Independent School District intersects
said S. B. line of Fisher County, the same being a point 305 vrs.
west of the E. B. line of Survey No. 234, Blk. 21, T.
Thence N. parrallel to the E. B. line of Survey No. 234, Sections
25 and 24 same block to the N. B. line of Sec. 24, the same
being a point 305 vrs. west of the N. E. corner of Section 24;
Thence N. 77 E. cross the north part of Surveys 233, 232 and
231 continuing along the N. B. line of Sec. 19 Blk. 20 T.
Thence N. 13 W. with the E. B. line of Sections 16, 9 and 4 to
the N. E. corner of Sec. 4;
Thence S. 77 W. to the S. W. corner of Section 9, Blk. K. T.
Thence N. 13 W. with the W. B. line of Sections 9 and 10 to
the N. W. corner of Sec. 10, Blk. K., T.
Thence W. with the N. B. line of Sec. 11 to the S. W. corner of
the B. M. Ashton tract;
Thence N. 15 W. to the N. W. corner of same tract;
Thence S. 75 W. with the S. B. line of Sections 7 and 8 H. T.Thence S. with the W. B. line of F. Shiflett tract to the S. W.
corner of same, being a point in the N. B. line of Sec. 14, Blk.
K., T.
Thence S. 75 W. with the N. B. line of said Sec. 14 to the
N. W. Cor. of same;
Thence S. 15 E. with the W. B. line of Sec. 14 to the N. E. corner
of R. Lunatson and J. B. Scarbrough strip of land;
