CREATING THE BESSMAY INDEPENDENT SCHOOL
DISTRICT IN JASPER COUNTY.
H. B. No. 414.] CHAPTER 144.
An Act creating the Bessmay Independent School District in Jasper
County, Texas, out of part of the territory included in the Buna Indedependent
School District; defining its boundaries and re-defining the
boundaries of Buna Independent School District; providing for a board
of trustees in said district; conferring upon said district and its board
of trustees all the rights, powers, privileges and duties now conferred
and imposed by the General Laws of Texas upon independent school
districts and the board of trustees thereof; declaring that all taxes
or bonds heretofore authorized by any former school district included
within the bounds thereof shall remain in full'force and effect; repealing
all laws and parts of laws in conflict herewith; and declaring an
emergency.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Texas:
SECTION 1. That Bessmay Independent School District is
hereby created and established in Jasper County, Texas, containing
within its limits the following described territory,
to-wit:
"Beginning at the southeast corner of Elisha Morris survey
and the northwest corner of the Salvador Castillo survey thence
E. on the north boundary line of said Castillo survey to the N. E.
corner thereof and the S. W. corner of the Martin Flores survey.
Thence north on the west boundary line of the said Flores survey
to the N. W. corner thereof. Thence east with the north
boundary line of said Flores survey to the N. E. corner of same
and the N. W. corner of the Medrano survey; thence east on the
north boundary line of said Medrano survey to the Jasper and
Newton county line. Thence south with the Newton and Jasper
county line to the N. E. corner of H.
