General Motors has voted an estra $34,800,000 to
its stockholders. This makes a dividend paying for the
quarter exceed $50,000,000 and $110,000,000 for the year.
According to an eastern correspondent, this special
dividend of $400 a share just announced, “was out of
the fattest profits ever earned by an American indus-
trial organ izaton." There must be money in motors.
There is money in oil. Business is business. Get in on

TROOP 8
The troop met Friday night with
six Scouts and Mrs. Fred Burton
present. .Mr. Josephson, our Scout-
j master, was not present because he
is in Dallas. We opened the mpet-
ing by raising the flag while singing
the first stanza of "Amerlea." We
then played a game of fizz-fuzz. Af-
ter we had played this several times,
we lined up in a circk and one boy
took a stave and got in the center
of the circle and rotated It at fast
speed and we had to jump over it.
Another game was played where
boys were stationed on the sides of
the hut, according to the points of
the compass, and as their direction
was called they had to catch a
broom before it fell. Knot tying was
then practiced. We closed the meet-
ing by lowering the flflag while sing-
