coins down a chimney into a stocking a poor girl had
hung up by the fireplace to dry.

have become bookish on the
idea of curling up with some

A good source of entertain-
ing reading material, librar-
ies also provide many of the
necessary reference mate-
rials to research a variety of
topics.
Many people looking for a
job in corporate or association
communications, for exam-
ple, rely on a reference source
many consider to be a com-
prehensive guide of available
opportunities. Others con-
sider the same book valuable
in helping to reach a com-
pany’s public relations direc-
tor — the person most sensi-
tive to complaints or praise
about the company’s activi-
ties.
Companies in O’Dwyer’s
Directory of Corporate Com-
munications are categorized
in several ways for easy ac-
cess: geographically, by type
of industry and alphabeti-
cally.
When it’s time to begin your
job search—or your complaint
or praise efforts directed at a
specific company — you may
want to call the library to
make sure this book appears
on its shelves. If not, you may
want to request the library
purchase it for you and other
career- and community-mind-
ed people to use.
No public hearing will be held on this application unless an affected person who has
received notice of the application has requested a public hearing. Any such request
for a public hearing shall be in writing and contain (1) the name, mailing address
and phone number of the person making the request; and (2) a brief description of how
the requester, or persons represented by the requester, would be adversely affected
by the granting of the application. If the Commission determines that the
request sets out an issue which is relevant to the permit decision, or that a public
hearing would serve the public interest, the Commission shall conduct a public
hearing, after the issuance of proper and timely notice of the hearing. If no
sufficient request for hearing is received within 30 days of the date of publication
of the notice concerning the application, the permit will be submitted to the
Commission for final decision on the application.

TOWN OF LITTLE ELM, P.O. Box 129, Little Elm, Texas 75068 has applied to the Texas
Water Commission for an amendment to Permit No. 11600-01 to authorize an increase in
the discharge of treated domestic wastewater effluent from a volume not to exceed an
average flow of 100,000 gallons per day to a volume not to exceed an average flow of
350,000 gallons per day. The proposed amendment would also authorize disposal of
sludge on City-owned land adjacent to the treatment plant site. The required minimum
concentration for dissolved oxygen would be increased from 2 mg/1 to 4 mg/1 upon
completion of the increased capacity. The applicant proposes to add a parallel
250,000 gallons per day facility to the current facility.
