He was dragging them. And his face look like it
was just about wide as your hand. And he looked straight
to that door but we had changed locks on the door and he
worked at it and couldn't open it. He turned around and
didn't look toward me. He didn't look toward the kids (
he was between the kids and me). Don't let nothing tell
you that if you get scare you got to holler cause I laid
right there and didn't say a word! He passed me twice,
He passed me when he come in, he passed me when he came
back out. He didn't look toward me and he didn't look
toward the kids. I didn't think to say nothing when he
was in there cause he had me too scare, I guess. When he
went out this light went out, and then I said when you
come back again, you don't have to light your light, cause
I'll have you one already lit. Yea, I keeps a light in
the house even til yet.
"When you're dead, you're done!" At least some folk
seems to think so. But lets read what these people have
to say and see if you still believe in the quote - when
you're dead, you're done. Mrs. Holt shares a story
with us about people coming from the dead.
I'll tell you one about Paul. One day, I went fish-
ing. I wore Paul's hat to fishing. We came back and I
laid the hat over there on the divan. I cleaned and cook-
ed the fish and me and Dale ate them. He was in there
looking at TV. Way after while, something knocked three
times. (Just like Paul knocks when he was off ). I
didn't say nothing. Then he stomped first just like you
would walk on a wood floor with tom walkers on. And then
he knocked three times. I said "Who is you?" and I ain't
heard him no more.
