LET'S FACE THE ISSUES ..If our present Sheriff had competently fullfllled his
obligations, he would not have had 75 per cent of the votes cast against him on
May 1st. The issues above should not be issues, they AREA MATTER OF DUTY.

The records reflect that yon were employed as a Patrolman-Trainee on
September 2 \, l')70, and alter successful Iv completing the Department
Academy you were stationed at Sulphur Springs and ser\ed in the uniformed
serv ices until May 11, 17 >, wlu-n you became a Narcotics Agent and were
transferred to Dallas to accept this different assignment. The record fur-
ther reflects that you resigned ol your own accord, effective January 31,
1975.
The personnel files of the Department of Public Safety indicate that your
work with this Department was satisfactory, and in further answer to your
question, this is to advise you that you would be eligible for consideration
lor reinstatement should you request it.
