lace, recording secretary;
Mrs. James-Gullion, corres-
ponding secretary; Mrs.
James Holcomu, treasurer;
Mrs. Gloria Jennings, exten-
sion officer; Mrs. Gearldlne
StruhaU, city council repre-
sentative; and Mrs. John Slo-
city council alternative.
Mr . Gary Dominy, presi-
dent presided at the meeting.
The members voted on the girl
of the year honoree, who will
be announced at the annual
fojnder's day banquet later
this month.
Other business Included the
voting on the sute project,
which the chapter voted to cast
its vote on a liver transplant
operation for a young child.
Also, members voted to con-
tribute to the loan bind, the
exemplar fund and the en-
downment fund.
Mrs. Wallace won the
hostess gift. Refreshment
of sandwiches, chips, dips, ol-
ives, pickles, angel food cake

rival of a daughter, Lesley
Doddi born around 6r00 p.m.
Tuesday, April 8th In Rusk
Memorial Hospital. The
little lady weighed 7 pounds,
4 ounces. She was welcomed
by a big brother, Robby Long,
and grandparents, Mr. and
Mrs. Eldon Bothwell and Mr.
and Mrs. V. J. Long.

Funeral services for Willie
B. Sltton, 59, ofNacogdoches,
were held at 10 a.m. Mon-
day at the First United Metho-
dist Church In Nacogdoches,
The Rev. James Heflin offi-
ciated.
Burial was In Rock Springs
Cemetery under the direction
of Cason-Monk Funeral
Home.
Mr. Sltton died ai 2;30 p.m.
Saturday of an apparent heart
attack. He was pronounced
dead on arrival at City Mem-
orial Hospital.
He was part owner of a feed
store, and also raised cattle
He was a native of Nacogdo-
ches County, and was a
veteran of World War II and
a graduate of Stephen F. Aus-
tin Stage College and mem-
ber of the Nacogdoches Ro-
tary Club.
Survivor Include a daugh-
ter, Miss Kay sltton of Fort
Worth; two brothers Leon
Sitton, and I avon Sltton, both
of Nacodoches; five sisters
Mrs, B. W. Gatlln of Cushlng
Mrs, Laura Neill of Trawlck,
Mrs. J. A. Manslnger of Long
view. Mrs. Mantle V. Rogers
of Houston and Miss Macyle
Sltton of Rusk.

Mr. and Mrs. Walter H. Cow-
art of 2522 69th Street, Lub-
bovk have just returned from
Nassau, New Providence, Ba-
hama Islands, where they at-
tended the Towler Life Educ-
ational and Sales Conference
for the past week.
The Nassau Conferences was
attended by those Tower Life
agents who demonstrated ex-
cellence In sales ability and
service to their clients and
policyholder's faring the past
eighteen months.
Mr. and Mrs. Cowart are
former Rusk residents.

Northeast Texas will be held
with Ruling Elder C. J. Har-
kins, representing the ses-
sion, and Ruling Elders Lois
Henry and Jewel Coupland,
