Mrs. T. J. Miller
Rev. Bill Rains filled his ap-
jxuntment at the Methodist Church
last Sunday at 11 a.m. and 7:30
p m. The attendance was good and
all were pleased with the serv-
ices.
Mrs. Oscar Acker who has not
haen well for some time is slowly
improving. All of her children
were home last weekend and gave
her a birthday party.
Mrs. Compton had all of her
children with her for lunch last
Sunday. They were: Mr. and Mrs.
Mason Gray and children; Mr. and
Mrs. Stubbs and family of Jack-
sonville; Mr. and Mrs. Travis
Compton and son of Tyler; and
Willie Langford and son, James.
Mr. and Mrs. F. B. Fulton and
family of Tyler spent the week-
end with relatives here.
Joe Acker Brunson from .Í&M
spent the weekend here.
Mr. and Mrs. Louis Trotter and
children and Mrs. Roy Shirey and
daughter Brenda Kay, of Long-
view visited relatives here Sun-
day.
Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Reed and
children and Mrs. Eula Mae Mar-
tin, of Lake Jackson, spent the
weekend here with relatives.
Mr. and Mrs. William Sandlin
of Port Arthur visited the elder
Sandlins last weekend and Mother
Sandlin accompanied them home
for a few days visit.

nett Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Dickey visited
in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Edd
Vining to see their sister, Mrs.
Vining of Redlawn who has re-
turned from the Nan Travis Hos-
pital and is still not very much
better.
Mr. Mack Hartman of Texas
City and Mrs. Mack Hartman of
Spring spent the weekend with
their mother, Mrs. Ella Singletary.
Mr. Robert Dickey and daugh-
ter, Dorothy Lee and Mr. and Mrs.
O. L. Tannery visited in the home
of Mr. and Mrs. M. B. Dickey of
Jacksonville Saturday night.
Next Sunday's Chruch Day both
morning and night. Let every one
attend those services that can.
