or of a general research nature. The STIRPES staff reserves the right to accept or reject data submitted
and to edit such material in order to conserve space. It is desired, but not manadtory, that such material
be typed double-spaced to help avoid the possibility of error in transcribing. Those wishing to submit camera
ready copy, may request an instruction sheet. Material should be mailed to the Society address given above
and should be accompanied by return postage if return of unpublished material is requested. Neither the
Society nor the STIRPES staff assume responsibility for error of fact in material submitted by contributors.
Publication of any information is not necessarily an endorsement by the Society of views expressed or of
products and services offered.
CLAIMS for "lost" issues MUST be made within sixty (60) days of the last day of publication month. Example:
Publication date of March - from March 31st, all claims must be made by May 31st. For re-mailing of such
issues, postage and handling of $1.50 must accompany the claim request. Claims made after the 60-day period
are handled as a sale: $5.00 includes the issue and mailing cost. LIBRARIES: Alert your staff to process

the Indian word Tejas, for friendly, and we're known as the Friendship State. Texas is also called the
Lone Star State because of its flag with a single star, which was also the flag of the Republic of Texas.
