—Capt. W. G. Eyres received the sad
news of the death of his aunt, Mrs.
Elizabeth Ann Arnstrong of New
Westminster, B. C. at the advanced
age of 71 years. When Captain Eyres
visited her last summer she was in ex-
cellent health. Mrs. Armstrong was
burled in the Odd Fellows' cemetery.
—A lively scrap occured on East
Sixth Street last night about 10 o'clock
at the Little Casino saloon in which
Bee Haigler and Jim Harrington par-
ticipated. They were arrested by Offi-
cers Evans and Bustin. No serious
damage was done.

—The death of Mrs. L J. Locket at
Bertram Wednesday was a sad blow to
her friends, of whom she has legions.
Mrs. Locket was indispensable to
church, society and home. Her death
was the result of pneumonia.
