Professor's room wrapped in foil
Christine Stanley
Assistant Managing Editor
Dr. Wayne Holland's office
has been foiled - literally. Six
unnamed students snuck into
the NT physics professor's of-
fice last Saturday to carry out a
bizarre prank; the all-in-good-
fun vandals wrapped Holland's
entire office in foil.
All items in Holland's office,
from his books down to the
ketchup packets on his desk,
were completely covered with
foil, and a large foil stickman-
like creation now shares Hol-
land's office space
He was so surprised to find
his office in its super shiny state
that Holland decided to finish
his Sunday morning breakfast
outside, in the hallway.
"I was checking for crop
circles on my way home," Hol-
land said.
The students left no clue as
to their motive; just a stack of
Diamond foil rolls in the corner
by Holland's file cabinet. Hol-
land suspects the foiling oc-
curred because he will be tak-
ing a semester's leave from NT
next fall.
"Its amazing," Holland said.
"I was surprised by the detail
They even wrapped every-
thing in the garbage. I suspect
I bought the materials for them
with their research grants."
Holland has no hard feelings
towards the pranksters. He
has decided to keep the scene
of the prank mostly intact by
only unwrapping the items he
uses everyday. So far, only the
telephone and computer are
exposed.
