cows out of the pen of his farm he heard

The railroad committees from Kendall
and Kerr counties are In the elty hav-
ing come here for the purpose of signing
the contract with the directors of the
Aransas l'ass road and so driving the
last nail In the arrangements for the
northwest extension. They find them-
selves however confronted with the
fact that no right-of-way has as yet
been seoured through Bexar county
and until that Is done all that has been
accomplished to date Is of no avail.
These gentlemen came here In good
faith supposing San .Antonio bad per-
fected ber sbare of the work. Tbey
have secured the rlgbt-of-wsy and depot
grounds through Kendall and Kerr
counties and naturally look to the citi-
zens of Bexar county to provide right-of-
