This morning a general strike took
place among the laborera employed by
Mr. Jake Marshall the contractor for the
street improvements Mr. Marshall has
been paying his employes at the munifi-
cent rate of $1 a day and aa most of the
men have families they have fouad It Im-

the men on Goliad street (about 30) re-
