Train Bullies.
Saturday evening four men got on tho
southbound train on the .Missouri Pacltlo
nt Hlllaboro three of whom had tickets.
When Ihe Conductor took up the tick-
ets he demanded from the fourth one
four cents nmlle. This request Ihe men
objected lo and before the Conductor
could enforce hla authority to put the
man oil' the train he was struck on the
head with a pistol and fell senseless on
the floor of the smoking car. A general
confusion occurred which greatly i si
created when tliii four men drew their
pistols and commenced tiring nt all the
windows. They were soon the only oc-
cupants of the car and they did not cense
shooting until they hnd smashed all the
glaas In the ear A telegram was for-
warded to Waco for olllcers to be nt the
depot to arrest these bullies. When the
train arrived at Wncunot one pence ofll-
cer could be seen and nothing could be
done. At this city tho engine left the
train and traveled to Hewitt to notify
the northbound train of Its arrival. Dur-
ing Its absence u posse of citizens was
formed and two of the men arrested
while the other two took a lr.ick amid
the general confusion and drove oil. One
